Design of Electrochemical Interfaces (DELI) Lab

DELI Lab is a newly established research group at NTU Singapore. The overarching goal of DELI Lab is to use multiscale modeling techniques to develop a molecular level understanding of electrochemical interfaces for applications in energy storage and industrial decarbonization.

Lab News

  • New paper on adsorption isotherms

Our piece, “The overlooked role of adsorption isotherms in electrocatalysis” is now online in Nature Catalysis. We highlight the opportunities and challenges in understanding electrochemical isotherms.

  • OC25 dataset and models release!

Excited that the OC25 dataset and models for solid-liquid interfaces was released along with the paper! Was great fun working on this dataset with the FAIR chemistry team at Meta!

  • New lab members

At the start of the academic year in August 2025, we have three new DELI Lab members - Wayu Takemura who joins as a PhD student, and William Looi (Year 2, CBE) and Judah Primeldi (Year 2, CBE) join us as URECA researchers! Welcome Wayu, William and Judah!

  • ASPIRE League Seed grant with KAIST

Our group has been awarded an ASPIRE League Seed grant together with the Chung group at KAIST! We look forward to working together!

  • Paper alert!

Our perspective article on the “Intricacies of Computational Electrochemistry“ is now online in ACS Energy Letters. This work resulted from a Lorentz Center workshop organized by Nitish, Georg Kastlunger and Katharina Doblhoff-Dier.

  • First Cohort

We welcome our first cohort of DELI Lab members - Manya Aggarwal (PhD student), Fiona Ho (Year 2 Undergrad), Ruijun Xu (Year 4 Undergrad) and Xuyue Jiang (MS student)!

  • We are hiring!

The DELI Lab has an opening for a PhD position. See the Join Us page for more information.

  • So it begins!

Nitish joined NTU Singapore as an assistant professor in September.
